I am currently in New Hampshire! I spent the day looking at these historical buildings to see what upgrades can be done to make it more energy efficient.
I realize that a lot of vinyl siding exists in Manchester, especially in their historic districts. One of these buildings has the original clap board still underneath that is almost untouched!
Anyhow, historic buildings can be energy efficient through a series of techniques such as boiler replacement, pipe insulation, lighting upgrades etc. Windows and insulation is always a touchy subject but… It’s not impossible!
Anyhow, next post will be photos of Portsmouth, NH! A preservationists dream city!
